Hi, I’m John Paul, co-owner of Heritage Hauling & Land Services here in Central Texas. I’m a husband, father, outdoorsman, and proud Texas business owner who believes in hard work, accountability, and keeping your word. I was raised to believe that if you tell someone you’re going to do something, you show up, have a plan, work safely, and get the job done right.
Before starting Heritage, I spent nearly 15 years in state government operations and leadership, serving in management throughout my entire state career. Over the years, my responsibilities included managing maintenance, warehouse and fleet operations, as well as construction management and oversight of state construction. My responsibilities grew into broader statewide leadership, and during the last seven years of my career, I was responsible for statewide oversight of risk management, compliance, safety, security, emergency management, and business continuity programs for a Texas state agency. My experience also includes Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) training and oversight of numerous audits and compliance reviews.
I’m a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM), with experience managing contracts supporting construction, renovation, and operational projects. I’ve also completed extensive FEMA/NDEMU training in emergency management, emergency planning, incident command, continuity of operations, safety, security, decision-making, and emergency response frameworks. Throughout my career, I led and developed teams, managed complex operations, coached employees, set expectations, and held myself and others accountable for results. I bring that experience to Heritage with the belief that every project deserves proper planning, attention to risk, respect for the customer’s property, and a professional approach.
Outside of work, I enjoy kayak fishing and spending time with my family. Sarah and I are building Heritage together for our family and our future, while creating a company our customers can depend on and our son can be proud of.

Hi, I’m Sarah, co-owner of Heritage Hauling & Land Services. I’m a proud Texas business owner, wife, and mom who has always had a passion for helping people. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Edward’s University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia University Texas. My professional career has centered around leadership, problem-solving, and serving others, and I bring those same values to Heritage. I believe in treating people with respect, doing what you say you’re going to do, and putting in the work to get the job done right.
Heritage is something my husband, JP, and I are building together for our family and our future. More than just a business, it’s an opportunity to serve our community while showing our son that with hard work, perseverance, determination, and a little elbow grease, you can build something you’re proud of. I’m excited to be part of a business where we can help people tackle the jobs they’ve been putting off, make their lives a little easier, and leave every customer knowing they were treated like family.
